A great job opportunity for an Apprentice Administrator to join a progressive and forward-thinking company based near Farningham in Kent.
Your role will be to provide both clerical and administrative support to Directors,
Staff and externally based contracted services. The role plays a vital part in the
smooth-running of the business. You will be involved with the daily
administration required within the company and will involve, written and oral
communication.
As an Apprentice Administrator, your role will involve:
Administration duties
- Placing purchase orders and managing the ledger.
- Raising client invoices.
- Managing supplier invoices and payments.
- Managing the debt control procedure
- Liaising with staff and external contacts to book travel and accommodation.
- Recording of expense sheets, both cash and card payments, recording any for recharging.
- Maintain Company calendar/diary with all meetings and events.
- Organise and maintain storage within the office and keep tidy as required.
- Liaison with suppliers.
- Managing the document issue to suppliers and clients.
- Preparation of Operation and maintenance manuals.
- Preparation of CDM documentation.
Reception duties
- Answering office telephone, recording and transferring of messages, voicemail
message management.
- Receive and welcome guests, offer refreshments and visitor book register.
- Sorting and distributing incoming post and organising and sending outgoing post.
- Organising archiving and management of documents and computer-based
information.
- Monitoring and management of IT/printing equipment and issues, recording,
reporting and resolution with staff and external contractors.
As this role is an apprentice role the company is not expecting you to have experience in the above and you will learn the duties over time. However, some office experience would be beneficial.
The ideal candidate will have good IT, organisational and presentation skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
In return, you will benefit from 28 days holiday per year including public bank holidays and 3 additional days over the Christmas office closure. Sliding scale performance related bonus on completion of full financial year (April - March) and Auto Enrolment Pension.
Hours: Mon-Fri 35 hours per week 9am-5pm
Salary: £15,925
Due to the office location you will ideally have a driving licence and your own car.
