Job Details

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation; our client is currently looking for a CMI Business Partner at their prestigious facility in Blackfriars, London. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 12 months (Maternity Cover) due to start 1st week Oct 2018 ; working approx. 36.25 hour week. The salary is up to a maximum £42,000 per annum.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The CMI function's mission is to inspire, provoke and drive transformation actions to drive growth. In this role you are expected to deliver the CMI mission and lead by example by being the CMI business partner to Skin Cleansing Platforms

The role will give you breadth of experience, both within CMI and of the wider business and expects you to deliver growth in the business. You will actively use your expertise to provide added value insights to the business & brands, deliver through people including your direct team and COEs

In this role you will contribute to delivering our mission as the leading business partner to a marketing team. You will be responsible for the identification and translation of consumer needs, insights and behaviours to guide the category & brand growth strategy, brand performance, communication and innovation marketing initiatives and for consumer guidance and delivery into global/ local projects.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Deliver insight lead business and brand growth opportunities
  • Offer foresight rather than just insight, by proactively identifying consumer and market trends, and using these to shape the strategy.
  • Facilitate innovation and communication development and deployment insight process and brand performance insight capabilities to guide the business on optimisation and growth opportunity identification and measurement.
  • Deliver through people, leveraging your ability to create partnerships and collaborate with a wide spectrum of marketing teams, agencies, CMI expertise teams and external partners to deliver against business needs.
  • Be independent and deliver fact based, objective views of the business. You will provide inspirational and credible recommendations marketing business partners.
  • Operate in a professional manner, applying CMI tools and techniques with rigour and discipline.
  • Use your innate ability and passion to understand and empathise with consumers and customers to deliver valuable insights to the business.
  • Understand brand building and brand development to a level which enables you to advise the business on advertising & consumer engagement, brand positioning, right pricing, mix creation and shopper behaviour.
  • provide a deep understanding of consumers' lives and the relationship with our brands to create & drive meaningful and purposeful brands
  • Develop consumer and market understanding by working closely with relevant CMI colleagues (mix COEs, cluster BPI, CTI) providing One-CMI point of view
  • Inspire & guide research suppliers to consistently deliver actionable, clear, value-added understanding





KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Responsible for all market research needs for the brands s/he is business partnering. Determine the global research needs for the brand and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Manage relationships and work with senior business partners and leadership in Brand Development. Work with all cross functional teams which includes COEs, Marketing, Research and Development and Consumer Technical Insight.
  • Drive implementation of Unilever CMI best practices and new techniques and processes
  • Interfaces with CMI Centres of Expertise to bring agile answers to business questions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Manage suppliers ensuring maximum value for the business with regard to quality, timeliness and service

KEY SKILLS:

  • Looking for significant years' experience in Market Research, CMI Marketing (Agency or Client)
  • Strategic Thinker - ability to design, develop and land country and cross-category level work
  • Experience across brand development and execution
  • Experience in different regions and categories
  • Proven experience in influencing the strategic agenda
  • The business partners are based in USA, UK, NL & Africa. The ideal person is required to be comfortable working agile business partners
  • This role doesn't have a direct team. The ideal person is required to deliver through people, agencies & COE partners
