Mechanical Maintenance Craftsman - Temp to Perm - Exeter

Manpower Exeter is excited to be working with the National Health Service who is proudly celebrating their 70th anniversary this year. The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital is one of the largest single sites in Devon and relies on a team of trade professionals to keep the hospital running on a daily basis. This opportunity also comes with excellent working hours, Monday to Friday only between the hours of 8am to 4pm.

About the role:

Your new role as the Mechanical Maintenance Craftsman will be varied with no two days being the same, one day you might be doing routine fault finding, testing and improvement work the next you will be providing a prompt and effective responding to call outs across the site. You will be experienced in all aspects of handheld and machine tools to carry out your job with skill and precision. This role will require you to take autonomy for your own work own work while still being a skilled team player as part of a much wider team. You will also be able to work fast paced and efficiently whilst maintaining a close eye for detail to ensure that Quality Assurance procedures are met.

About the candidate:

As the Mechanical Maintenance Craftsman you will be able to manage your own time to get tasks completed, you will also enjoy working on your feet and getting between different departments within this sizeable site. As the Mechanical Maintenance Craftsman you will hold an NVQ Level 3 and be apprentice trained, you will also be a water industry approved plumber. You will be able to install, maintain and repair mechanical services, plant and equipment. As this role is varied and mainly working unsupervised you will need to have previous experience working within a mechanical environment.
