Overview:

Our client is in the process of recruiting a Travel Operator within their Traffic Team.

Working Shift patterns are 06:00am to 13:30pm and 13:00pm -20:30pm Monday to Friday with overtime cover required when necessary. Bank Holiday cover is also essential.

The Travel Operator will work within the team to support our businesses and provide high level service, ensuring that information and data transmitted to our customers is of the highest quality inline within set KPIs.

Responsibilities:

  • To source and validate traffic and travel information from a variety of contacts.
  • To keep abreast of traffic incidents and trends in traffic flow.
  • To process, input and disseminate information within strict timescales in order to provide real-time, accurate, high quality and consistent traffic and travel information to support Trafficmaster and third party products and services.
  • Fault management and reporting.
  • Handling high volumes of incoming calls including, Navigation, Breakdown & Emergency, Dealer and Engineering Calls
  • Prompt and efficient downloading of routes to the UK and Europe
  • Registering customers' accounts ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Handling Sales effectively and efficiently ensuring the customer's needs are met including renewal and upsell opportunities.
  • Product Demonstrations when required
  • Administrative and office tasks as required
  • Provide support for broadcast desks providing pre-recorded messages for inclusion within our Interactive Phone Services.

Requirements:

The ideal candidates will be highly motivated, reliable and have a flexible approach. The need to cover shifts, holidays and undertake training outside of normal working hours will be required.

  • Ability to absorb, adapt and learn a wide variety of skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and proven ability.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Ability to focus and prioritise in a high stress environment.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to collaborate/integrate with cross-functional departments, strong team player.
  • Willingness to be extremely flexible and always operate in the company's best interests.
