Manpower is looking for a number of Commis Chefs/Catering assistants to join one of our most valued clients at Bristol Airport. Our Client is looking for hard-working and reliable individuals to join their team in a very busy environment to assist in the preparation and cooking of food as directed by the Sous Chef/ Head Chef/ Chef de Partie in line with brand and menu specifications. Our client is looking for Tenacious, hardworking, capable Flexible and adaptable and have the Ability to adapt to new environments and new styles of food quickly

You must also be a Team worker - actively helps and supports others to achieve team and business goals to join their team in a very busy environment To assist in the preparation and cooking of food as directed by the Sous Chef/ Head Chef/ Chef de Partie in line with brand and menu specifications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To be hospitable, cooperative and polite with any guests and fellow front/ back of house team members at all times

To ensure our guests receive all food requests to correct brand specification within timeframe appropriate to dish

To ensure your food section is constantly supplied with the full range of menu items within your section

To cook and prepare food items within your section to brand specifications at all times

To maintain prep levels on your section helping to avoid shortages

To maintain a clean and tidy appearance and work in an orderly manner in line with brand standards and legal requirements

To store food items correctly and in rotation to minimise wastage using all company labelling and dating processes

To assist your colleagues at every opportunity ensuring good teamwork

To adhere to all standards as outlined in Food Safety Management System and Health and Safety Work safe System.

To communicate in an honest and open manner

To assist in the training of any new team members as required

To complete cleaning duties as per cleaning rotas and instructions of Chef/ Sous Chef/ Chef de Partie/ Restaurant Manager/Duty Manager as required

To notify the management team of any problems in your working area

To do all assigned shift duties

To take responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of all guests, colleagues and self at all times

To help the front of house and back of house teams and colleagues in carrying out duties to ensure an effective and efficient operation of the restaurant

Sales and Service Management

Displays an outgoing, welcoming personality on duty to attract and maximise any potential sales.

Directs customers to minimise queues and minimise speed of service.

Operational Management

Personally drives standards to exceed company expectations relating to operational service using Net Promoter Principles (e.g. Expert Service Programme, brand audits) & acts quickly to rectify areas for improvement

Brand Integrity and Product Management

Understands fully and implements all brand standards (e.g. Service Criteria, Critical standards/product knowledge/planograms and display principles etc)

Supports the effective implementation of all new promotions, marketing activity and product launches to time and quality standards

Delivers to brand Time Guarantees as appropriate to the brand

There Parking just on site but also the Airport is on good public transport links. As a Manpower employee you will get weekly pay, paid holidays and a Manpower pension.

This role is offering a fantastic starting salary an hour with enhanced rate and also bonus incentives. This also could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate. You will be working 40 hours a week over 4 days and we are looking for someone to start ASAP.
