Great opportunity for an experienced Technician to work for our client based in High Wycombe!! Are you fluent in French? Do you have experience servicing and repairing machines? Do you have a minimum of two years electrical experience? Have you worked in both Electrical and Mechanical positions? Would you be prepared to travel to the US for two week within probation to train on the company's products? If so this could be the perfect position for you!!

Under general supervision of the UK Service Manager. Will be working in the UK service lab in High Wycombe. The job will be mainly concerned with the servicing, repair and calibration of Agricultural technology and analytical instruments. However there will be scope to work with other instruments from time to time. Communicating with end users in both English and French language is an essential part of the role.

Job responsibilities will include; Assessing the customer's instruments on arrival into the service lab. Determine correct course of action for any repairs or warranty related issues. Keep records, both in SAP and other systems, of all operations carried out. Carry out troubleshooting, service, repairs and calibrations to customers instruments following company in house work procedures.

Communicate well, both by email and telephone, with the customer and also other members of the service team, to help provide efficient service to our customers. Work closely with head office in US and also other suppliers in Europe. Completes other assignments and special projects as requested.

Experience: 2+ years in the electronics service sector. Experience in testing, diagnostics, trouble shooting and repair of complex instrumentation. Language: Fluent written and spoken English and French are essential.

Core Competencies: Experience in the use of general electronic test equipment. Good trouble shooting skills. Good computer literacy using Microsoft products. Accuracy is of paramount importance here.

Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. Above average analytical, decision making, problem solving and research skills.

Operate computer and other electronic equipment. Use hand and electric tools and manipulate small objects.

Work Environment, Work is typically performed in a standard Laboratory setting working at a bench or table on a level surface. Air quality and noise levels are within normal limits. Eye protection is usually not required. Under normal conditions, exposure to excessive noise, dust, humidity, and fumes is rare.

May be required to work more hours than normally expected during a regular workweek depending on workload and deadline requirements.
