Production Operative

Manpower is one of the UK's leading recruitment companies, experts in the world of work. We are working in partnership with a major global company in the Alfreton area.

We are looking for a Production Operative with FLT licences to join our client based in Alfreton to start as soon as possible.

The purpose of the role is to operate plant and equipment to ensure products are processed on time to meet production schedules and satisfy customers requirements in accordance with safe operating procedures.

The duties will include (but are not limited to)

• Carry out tasks in accordance within quality procedures at all times.
• Work on written and verbal instructions from the Shift Team Leader or another member of supervision/management.
• Deputies for the Shift Team Leader when adequately trained.
• Ensure daily timings are met
• Communicate regularly throughout the shift with the other team members.
• Report any damage to plant, equipment or the fabric of the building, however caused.
• Inspect and report any damage to customers product, however caused.
• Report any deviation from procedures or other problems in a timely manner.
• Report any equipment malfunction or potentially hazardous situation.
• Carry out movement of customers product using a forklift truck and pallet trucks.
• Carry out plant cleaning requirements as stated in schedules and keep all warehouses and processing areas free of rubbish/obstructions.
• Undergo training as and when required.
• Attend and contribute to meetings as and when required.

You will have a proven work history in a similar role with a good standard of education and basic IT knowledge . You will also have a valid reach and counterbalance licence

This role is offered on a permanent basis and you will work 4 days on 4 days off rotating between a shift pattern on 7am - 7pm and 7pm to 7 am. Attendance and Shift allowances are also offered on top on basic salary.
