An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading Food Organisation. Upfield is currently seeking a Finance Analyst based at Leatherhead (moving to Wimbledon later in the year). This is a full-time, temporary role for a period of 12 months, Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week, to start ASAP. The role is paying between £27200 and £30600 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
Your Role
Your Main Responsibilities: -
Support Performance Management across the Business Unit
- Lead the weekly performance management rhythm and reporting into Global Upfield.
- Design, own and maintain reporting decks, across the 8 countries within our business unit. Using data from a variety of sources and using tools such as Excel andPowerpoint to develop regularly updated outputs. This includes:
- Weekly sales tracking.
- Market and P&L Reviews versus FC.
- Operational Cash Flow.
- Driving standardization across the 8 countries in the business unit, allowing us to compare different country dynamics and performance consistently.
- Ad hoc analysis to understand key variances, with deep dives into problem areas.
Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the "engine room" of cyclical planning, both long term strategic planning and shorter-term operation planning. This will involve:
- Defining data collection requirements to satisfy business unit and global requirements.
- Providing collection and consolidation tools for country teams to feed into.
- Defining reporting and presentational outputs from consolidation tools.,
- Managing stakeholders on setting of, and delivery to strict deadlines.
Separation Project
- Upfield currently has several business activities continued to be fulfilled by Unilever, under atransitionary agreement as part of the sale, including finance systems. From the start of 2019, a project will begin to fully separate, withUpfield moving to managing any such activities itself. This role will require:
- Business Unit Lead in activities surrounding ERP systems.
- The person on the ground to design and implement defined systems and processes.
- Lead user acceptance testing for our Business Unit.
Skills, experience and qualifications: -
Business skills
- Experience in working in a finance environment.
- Proven in finance-based IT, with Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Ideal for somebody at the start of, or studying for a Professional Accounting qualification.
- Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders, able manage upwards as a "team expert".
Personal skills
- Strong influencing and communication skills
- Delivery-focused with a high degree of ownership
- Must be willing to get their hands dirty in all stream due to the lean team
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
- Drive, energy and passion for developing business and financial processes and capabilities
