As an Account Manager within the Energy Solutions Sales Team, you will be responsible for delivering high value and high quality solutions sales to renewal and prospect customers in support of the clients strategic goals. The role involves managing a portfolio of solutions opportunities for prospective and existing business customers; implementing best practice to ensure optimal commercial and operational integrity, whilst delivering excellent customer experience and fulfilling the client's trust agenda.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the sale of profitable Energy Solutions interventions to the clients customers and prospects.
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while co-ordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel and customer stakeholders.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts.
  • Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Identify opportunities for growth through proactive portfolio management and prospecting activity.
  • Keep up to date on the B2B electricity industry, business and market drivers in order to construct commercial insights that will link achievement of customer / TPI objectives to the clients solutions.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of market changes, regulation and policy issues, the energy landscape and how it impacts our business customers and the current trends and developments relating to energy and carbon efficiency.

Desirable qualities

  • Understanding of the clients processes and policies and their significance to the good governance of the business.
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex sales products including all energy solutions available.
  • Ability to hypothesise possible customer challenges, expectations and implicit needs; devise solutions to solve complex deal challenges.
  • Ability to drive two-way communication; engage customers and TPIs by linking their business priorities to the clients solutions proposition through insight and consultative selling techniques.
  • Tailor communication to the customer's needs with authority; effectively deliver presentations, facilitate discussions and possess strong communication skills, especially verbal.
  • Ability to identify and build connections quickly with the right customer stakeholders to drive consensus; work cooperatively with a wide range of internal stakeholders for deal success.
