Stores Team Leader
A Stores Team Leader has become available within a global manufacturer of bespoke machinery with a worldwide client base. Leading the stores team to improve working practices and ensure health and safety policies are adhered to, while ensuring all parts are transacted and located correctly as required by the production plan and ensuring stock accuracy is maintained to a level that doesn't impact production.
The Responsibilities:
To lead the team in the execution of stores tasks associated with materials receipt, flow and supply to internal and external customer/userTo lead the team to achieve the stores operational plan in all areasTo process raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished goods from Goods Inwards to production to physical despatchTo process finished goods from storage to despatchInventory control of all related processesMRP system bookings of raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished goodsOperate stores equipment and machinery when trained to do soChecking of goods receipts, issued stock and despatch loads for accuracyTo lead the stores team to ensure housekeeping and health and safety practices are maintained to a high standard in the stores area and support other departments as requiredTo be the main point of contact between stores and other departments, answering queries and attending meetings as required
The Requirements:
Previous leadership experiencePrevious experience of delivering against company targets and objectivesPrevious stores / warehouse experienceGood dexterity with the ability to handle a variety of parts including sheet metal, machined and electrical componentsGood verbal and written communication skillsCan read engineering drawingsConscientious and responsibleCounterbalance forklift licencePrevious experience of transacting goods in a MRP systemLean manufacturing knowledge
The Package:
Bristol Based - BS14£25,000+ OTEMonday - Friday, 39 Hours Per Week25 days + Public Holidays (33 Days Total) (28 days after completing 5 years' service)3% Pension ContributionLife Assurance: 7 Times of Annual Salary, Plus Income ProtectionGenerous Flexiday + Flexitime SchemePermanent Position
