Data Migration Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Migration Engineer to join our leading IT Client.

Due to the nature of this role all applicants must hold valid DV security clearance.

With previous experience in data migration on previous IT infrastructure implementations, you will be responsible for migrating data from legacy storage data centres to FMO storage. Frequent travel is required for this position so all candidates must be mobile.

Reporting to the Migration Project Managers, you will be responsible for the delivery of Data Migration for Group File Shares allocated from a schedule.

This is a diverse role and responsibilities will include:

* Working with the migration team carrying out daily migration activities

* Liaising with workstreams to escalate and resolve data migration related issues

* Perform the physical validation and migration of data

* Review and produce work instructions and processes to support data migration

* Produce tooling and solutions

* Assist as required in developing and implementing the data migration process by liaising with different workstreams

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in multi- disciplined teams as well as experience of delivering work/projects within tight timelines and experience of working command line scripts through Powershell as well as experience working with RoboCopy. If you have strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of management, are comfortable working in pressurized environments and have a proactive and can-do attitude, then this could be your ideal role.
