Job Details
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global FMCG organisation, our client with brands such as Dove, Marmite, Walls Ice cream and Persil are currently looking for a Food Technical Assistant, based at their prestigious site in Leatherhead, Surrey, This is a 3 month role to start ASAP, paying up to £32K per annum pro rata depending on experience.
Role competencies or skills:
- Ability to manage time critical assignments, each with varying degrees of complexity
- Confident communicator - with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail with a commitment to getting things right first time
- Good time management and organisational skills
- A flexible approach to working
- Ability to work within a team and with other departments
- Confidence to work independently
- Ability to pick up new information quickly
- Willingness to undertake a wide range of projects simultaneously
- Confident computer skills, particularly Excel
Main responsibilities:
- Support R&D team with product label specifications and artworks approval
- Liaise with project teams to make sure R&D tasks are delivered on time in full
- Ensure product files/databases are kept up to date with accurate information including ingredients, allergens and nutrition
- Deal with internal and external enquiries, which include:
- internal consumer careline requests
- marketing and sales requests
- technical requests from customers
- packaging related data queries
- Prepare tastings and any admin required for customer presentations
Qualifications and experience:
- Food related degree, HND or equivalent qualification
- Work experience in the food manufacturing or retail industry is essential
- Experience working on ice cream is advantageous
