My Client is a global leading manufacturer of technical mortars and high-performance coatings & paint products, specialising in concrete repair and protection products. Due to a period of growth & increased sales, I am happy to be supporting them with introductions into their Manufacturing Teams for Blending Operatives. Working with raw materials to create batched/recipe blended end products, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) & supporting fellow Team members too as part of your working day.

What does your new role look like?

The role of Blending Operative will give you an opportunity to receive world class training from a Global Client within the paint & coatings industry, offering not only sustainability in your new role, but also giving back to the community as they operate a fully sustainable program & carbon footprint reduction scheme (one of the best Globally). The production process is unique to the company and involves the accurate weighing of powders and resins, along with the mixing and filling of the finished products. There is a level of heavy lifting & movement of materials involved, lifting upto 25 kilos at any one time.

What do you need to succeed as a Blending Operative?

  • Experience in a manufacturing/process driven environment - preferably using raw materials.
  • Working to Standard Operating Procedures in line with Company Policy.
  • Regular use and of measuring equipment when prepping batches, to check weigh finished product when filling.
  • Assist in the maintenance of machinery and equipment when possible making moderate diagnostics when machinery is down ready for the technician to complete repairs.
  • Maintain high standards of site house-keeping and 5S experience highly beneficial
  • Maintain high levels of Health and Safety awareness and report any areas of concern

Key Skills required:

  • Attention to detail is crucial
  • Good standard of English & Maths ( accuracy in reading & collecting batched goods)
  • Counter balance licence not necessary but beneficial (will train or retrain if license is expired)
  • Team orientated, but with willingness to work on own initiative & think on your feet
  • Capacity to follow an end to end manufacturing process
