Job Details
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Leading Global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Lynx, Persil & Magnum are currently looking for Project Engineers based at their prestigious facility in Leeds. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 5 months, working a 37.5 hour week. This role is paying £150-187 per day.
The Project Engineer will take responsibility to engineer and manage capital projects to meet capital plan.
- Manage the engineering design, specification, procurement, installation and handover to commissioning of capital projects in alignment with procedures.
- Tender to multiple suppliers to develop, analyse and select the most appropriate engineering solutions in terms of safety, quality and cost.
- Produce technical documentation for commissioning and training purposes (conducting training where necessary)
- Establish project scopes identifying potential solutions and capital estimates from project briefs
- Produce and submit capital expenditure proposals
- Define mechanical and civil requirements of site user requirement specifications (URS)
- Work with procurement to ensure cost and contractual arrangements are in place with suppliers
- Ensure equipment is specified correctly and approve specifications/drawings, using core design where possible
- Control budget and ensure proper financial accounting
- Deliver projects to agreed timescales/budgets
Note: Some travel will be required

The successful candidate will have experience in managing projects and will also have the following experience and qualifications:
- Professionally qualified engineer (HNC minimum) with at least 5 years experience in an industrial environment (mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical)
- Familiarity and understanding of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of current H&S legislation such as IOSH and CDM
- Management of contractors and leading small teams
Deliver projects balancing cost, technical and resources
Establishing unique ways to solve technical problems relating to masterplan, safety, quality, cost challenges and product innovation
Use of EEM 7 Step approach
Use of WCM continuous improvement methodology
Key experience and Qualifications required
NVQ equivalent in a relevant Engineering/Manufacturing discipline
IOSH Managing safely and Process Safety
Minimum 2 years practical technical/project documentation experience
Project execution experience
WCM or TPM EEM pillar implementation
Ideally an engineering qualification NVQ level 2/3
