Job Details
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our Global FMCG Client, are currently seeking a Supply Chain Procurement Assistant, based at their Deodorant Manufacturing Facility in Seacroft, Leeds (LS14).
This is a full time temporary role for a period of 6 months with strong possibility of extension, working a 37.5 hour week, Monday to Friday. This role is paying between £23,105 and £28,135 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
The successful applicant will support the Procurement Assistant in charge of cans management in the Deodorant Category. The Deodorant category has implemented a change in the way to deliver the cans with the 5 suppliers of the cans and it will require a lot of extra work to manage the transition. This role will support the network of the project.
Key responsibilities - operational and project support
- Update the project network (timings) and action support where necessary
- Build on the existing transition plan for the format/line
- Monitor can output /tracking
- Undertake weekly supplier calls for service and capacity checks, with a view to once being fully operational the successful candidate will be able to lead the supplier meetings
- Take minutes from supplier meetings
- Analyse large volumes of data in Excel using pivot tables, v-look ups and formulas
- Present data from Excel reports in to meaningful insights in PowerPoint and graph format for key stakeholders
Required Background and Experience:
- Experience in a similar supply chain/procurement role or a recent Masters Supply Chain graduate.
- Have good analytical skills, combined with a pro-active attitude and necessary communication skills to enable stakeholder decision-making
- Be fully operational in Excel. Must be able to extract, analyse and present data in a clear and understandable approach and format
- Be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with different stakeholders
- Be an autonomous, fast & creative problem solver, with the ability to judge when decisions need to be escalated to the line manager
- Strong user of Excel and PowerPoint
- SAP beneficial but not essential - training will be provided
