Gas Engineer

I am currently recruiting for a Gas Engineer for Boiler Breakdowns and Emergency Response, for my client based in Petersfield. In this role you will predominantly cover the South although on occasion you may cover slightly further afield.

Working Monday-Friday 9-6 with occasional voluntary weekend cover with overtime also available.

We have an opportunity to join a rapidly growing team of field based engineers. The role involves visiting customers, on behalf of our clients who have Gas Boiler Heating system faults that need repairing, following a voltage incident.

As a priority, boiler breakdowns are repaired, additional work may include electrical wiring tests, investigation of appliances, fault finding and remedial work on fixed wired items.

My client also install replacement showers, pumps, cookers, and deal with LPG and oil fired boilers and appliances. Other emergency work will include sub-main and rising main cables including meter point modifications.

Working in a professional manner to maintain the company reputation by carrying out installations to an exceptionally high standard and able to report back findings and communicate direct with the client. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a large emergency response team that has nationwide coverage.

Requirements:

Competency requirements to enable Gas Safe registration

CCN1 plus boilers and other appliances

MET1 can be useful

(LPG and Oil training can be provided)

Able to fault find boilers and heating control systems, change PCB's, fans and transformers and carry standard safety checks.

A clean and full UK driving licence

A positive flexible attitude, able to do overtime, shift work includes working weekends and respond to emergencies.

Must be a good communicator with a cheerful attitude, and excellent customer care skills.

Training:

Comprehensive induction training, and authorisation with DNO's.

Job role training provided.

Gas meter training may be available.

You will be supplied with: Company van, phone, IT Tablet, Uniform, Tools and PPE, Pension scheme, Expenses and Fuel cards.
