An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation; our client is currently looking for a Hair Product Innovation Manager based at their prestigious facility at Leatherhead. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working a 36.25 hour week. This role is paying up to a maximum of £52,250 per annum pro rata, depending on experience.

As the Senior Innovation Manager on VO5 & TONI&GUY for UKI, you will be at the forefront of developing hair trends, products and communication to tell consumers exactly why we have the brands and products which will give them better hair days, everyday. VO5 is the UK's no.1 Styling brand with a fantastic history of breaking the mould which has now developed into a unisex brand who puts music at the heart of our communication. TONI&GUY products are the diffusion range from the Salons and a brand that continually pushing consumers to keep their hair interesting and their salon-look for longer.

Your main goal will be ensuring that everything you do with your portfolio injects fun & passion into the brands and has consumers at the heart, so you need to have endless curiosity for the world around you. You will research, design and bring to life innovations, working with the Brand teams evolve each brand's equity, purpose beyond and growth. Finally, you will become an expert on Styling for multiple audiences. You will get to know your consumers passion points, daily rituals, what gets them excited, the beauty zeitgeists….basically living and breathing their lives to ensure you keep VO5 & TONI&GUY relevant to them.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Leadership and delivery of 12Q innovation plans across VO5 & TONI&GUY collaborating across functions & agencies and bringing teams together
  • Developing & deploying value improvement projects VO5 & TONI&GUY to drive profitable growth
  • Aligning your cross-functional teams to help the team deliver your products flawlessly into the market
  • Presenting to Retailers, Senior Stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Collaborating with the Styling Marketing Manager and Brand teams on future innovation plans for each brand
  • Identifying commercial & marketing opportunities and accelerating them with your team into the market
  • Developing products that will open distribution opportunities and opening up new channels
  • Managing projects, project P&Ls, external performance metrics and budgets

To be successful in this role you will need the following

  • Experience working in Personal Care or Beauty with FMCG is preferred
  • Understanding of unisex Gen Z and Millennial audiences. Also with a genuine interest in styling and hair, with a knowledge of music, fashion & popular culture preferred.
  • Proven success of exceptional project management, product development, and influencing skills with confidence
  • An entrepreneurial and 'can-do' approach, able to work with and unlock change and complexity
  • A balance of art & science - ability to think creatively & strategically, with strong business mindset. Commercially minded with proven track-record of successfully managing a P&L and budgets
