Our client RBS is recruiting for a number of Customer Service Advisers to work in their Fraud support team within the RBS office located at The Gyle.

This is a chance to make a huge difference when people have been victims of fraud. You'll work with customers over the telephone, giving them essential support and dealing with a wide range of fraud queries.

The Gyle is a great place to work with lots of on-site facilities such as a restaurant, gym and a shopping centre nearby.

In Fraud & Chargeback Operations the things that make a difference will be what you'll do every day. There to help customers if they lose money to fraud, and support them if they're in disputes with retailers you'll be at the forefront of protecting them and the bank from fraudsters.

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to your customer on every call you take, listening carefully and asking the right questions
  • Understand the customers' needs and concerns, and resolve them efficiently and effectively
  • Build and maintain a broad awareness of the techniques fraudsters use
  • Enjoy problem solvingYou'll have a natural flair and genuine desire for helping people. Great communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly. You will be a passionate about delivery excellent customer service. You will also have;

The skills you'll need

  • Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to build personal credibility, and engage with your customers on often sensitive issues
  • A keen eye for detail, allowing you to identify potential risks to the bank and our customers
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks at once, and to work well under pressure
  • A good level of IT Skills As fraudsters never sleep, we're here for our customers when they need us, so you'll need to be flexible and able to commit to a rotating work pattern.You will receive 6-8 week structured training programme to ensure you can deliver an excellent service to all of the Banks' customers. As a Manpower employee you will receive weekly pay, 33 days holiday and a range of other benefits.
  • You must be able to pass RBS pre-employment screening which includes a credit check and 2 years referencing.
  • You'll get a competitive hourly rate of £10.31, with a 10% uplift from 8pm to 10pm and 25% after 10pm
  • The Edinburgh Fraud centre is easily accessed by public transport with Edinburgh Park Central tram stop only a few minutes away.
