We have an amazing opportunity for a Pricing Analyst EMEA to work with our client based in Rochdale. This role is to cover Maternity leave which could be up to 12 months. The role pays £19.23 p/h, working 8.00am - 5.00pm.


This role is to support the Business to develop, implement and execute pricing strategies across EMEA, conduct analysis & provide recommendation to drive successful pricing initiatives. You will ensure EMEA pricing policy, procedures and approvals are adhered to across EMEA maintain, create, and communicate customer and product prices and drive continuous improvement on processes and ways of working. You will also lead, develop and coach a team of 3 reports.


Responsibilities

  • Support the EMEA Marketing Director in developing pricing strategy each year as part of STRAP & AOP process & as per global guidelines/processes
  • Work with Product Managers and local/regional business leaders to create, maintain and manage product prices in line with category & country strategies
  • Coordinate and support the monthly Management Operating System for pricing with Finance, Product Management and business leadership to refine and improve pricing across channels, categories, projects and product lines.
  • Manage the review process of customer pricing. Ensure price changes are accurate, effectively implemented and communicated to all stakeholders to deadline.
  • Track and collaborate with relevant departments to ensure FX, inflation and other material changes are proactively managed and captured within pricing actions.
  • Ensure robust processes are maintained in the approval and implementation of customer pricing and acceptable margins are achieved.
  • Manage price over-ride work flow and recommend corrective actions
  • Manage the vendor price support and vendor partner discount schemes, liaise with sales, product management and finance to ensure the correct discounts are applied to customers are claimed and correctly accounted for.
  • Apply sound financial discipline to all company operations to enhance profitability
  • Administer corporate policies in a positive, constructive manner, including diligence around documentation, process and security controls
  • Drive continuous improvement on processes and ways of working
  • Drive compliance with company initiatives

Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyse key price drivers and provide recommendations to business leadership to drive sales and margin (including market pricing feedback, transnational opportunities, FX, promotional pricing, pass through and price waterfall analysis)
  • Create monthly/quarterly financial reporting metrics to track margin improvement from current plans being executed.
  • Conduct competitor pricing analysis and recommendations on strategy and tactics

Technical Skills Required

  • BA/BS in Business or Finance or a related field
  • Minimum 3 year's experience in the Pricing Function implementing pricing strategy
  • SAP experience essential
  • Good working knowledge of analytical pricing tools, life cycle price management, pricing reporting and pricing data analysis
  • Strong commercial awareness supported by exceptional analytical and statistical problem-solving skills
  • Experience with financial reporting a plus
  • Project management capabilities, driving pricing programs
  • Ability to understand the complexities involved in managing pricing across different geographical regions
  • The willingness to travel and the sensitivity to work across a range of countries (up to 15% travel)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
  • Advanced excel skills essential
