Our client, one of the UK's leading energy providers, is looking for a Requisition & Accruals administrator to provide support for significant parts of the Generation Finance business and a service for raising requisition requests and processing accruals.

As part of what is a very small team, the individual will need to be flexible and have the ability to undertake the majority of the tasks required of the team. This role is essential in the provision of accurate financial information and the ability of Contract managers and budget holders to undertake their work efficiently

The team support over 20 individual business units and stations

Key Accountabilities:


  • Raising requisitions and closing down requisitions which are complete
  • Entry of accruals
  • Maintenance of accrual spreadsheets used by the BU's
  • Provision of financial information to support the business
  • Provision of guidance and support on the use of SAP as and when required

  • Nature & Scope of the Role:

    This is a very process driven role with hard deadlines and deliverables each month. The outputs from this work are essential in the provision of accurate financial information and the ability of Contract managers and budget holders to undertake their work efficiently. Requests must therefore be processed accurately and within agreed deadlines

    As key users of SAP, the whole team are expected to become expert users in their area and to be able to offer help

    There is a need for a close working relationship with Supply Chain to deliver a robust service to Nuclear Generation and support to other users of the systems.

    Knowledge, Skills & Experience

    Qualifications and Experience



  • Experience of working to deadlines and achieving targets
  • Good communication skills with all levels of staff and ability to develop effective relationships


  • Technical & Commercial Knowledge and Skills



  • Numerate with keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy of reported data
  • Good knowledge of company financial and procurement systems
  • IT literate, with ability to handle and manipulate large quantities of data within Excel and/or Access database
