Process Technicians

This large, expanding company south of Cambridge is looking for Mechanical Lab Technicians. The salary is £10 to £14 per hour and you will be working 12 hour shifts days and nights.

After completing a successful trial period, you will be taken on permanently.

The job role will involve:

* Carrying out laboratory work (tests, preparations and other experimental work) as directed by the QC Laboratory Supervisor.

* Keep suitable legible written records of work in line with established procedures and accreditation requirements.

* Ensuring that the relevant safety requirements are satisfied.

* Making sure all areas of the laboratory are in a clean and tidy condition in accordance with the site's 5S and FOD requirements.

* Maintaining and improving practical, technical and theoretical knowledge in the techniques required for assigned programmes of work

* Assisting in the training of new laboratory staff (where appropriate and directed).

* Ensuring laboratory stocks of equipment, chemicals and other materials relevant to the testing procedures are maintained
