My Client is a market leader in thermoplastic master batch manufacturing, servicing Clients across the globe with advanced technological equipment & advancement of processes. As they look at further advancement in equipment technology & support to the research & development of both product & machinery in the liquids business unit, I am looking to introduce an ADTS Design Engineer (advanced or junior).
As an Equipment Engineer you will work as part of a small R & D Team (4), looking at liquid metering, measuring & dosing & how advancement can be aligned with their business growth & product development, whilst supporting their product & the end user on site, establishing globally applicable standards of equipment.
What do you need to be successful as an ADTS (Advanced Design Technical Systems) Design Engineer?
- You hold relevant qualification - be it a degree or HNC & industry knowledge.
- Experienced in PLC programming with electrical bias (Mitsubishi, Unitronix used).
- You will already hold experience & knowledge of networking protocols for industrial equipment & all associated design requirements (preferably in chemical dosing, mixing or handling equipment for liquid additives & polymer processing or similar environment).
- Proven capacity to test & certify relative industrial equipment - C.E marking, RoHS and WEEE Directives.
- Project management & on time delivery experience.
- Conversant with CAD systems & relevant design software.
- Team oriented & flexible to pick up additional tasks when priorities change.
- Health & safety awareness
- You look to strive for excellence in your design delivery, with an outlook to create a product of the future for the brand.
- You are happy to commit to significant travel - some of it international.
What is crucial in the role of ADTS Design Engineer?
Within the R & D Team you will not only look to develop new technology, you will also have opportunity to be involved in other development across the business & brand. Within the Team, there is a responsibility to design & develop new equipment that will offer testing & data analysis prior to product launch to ensure that the technology is fit for practicality & use by end users.
