Food & Beverage Supervisor required to join one of the Oxford University Colleges ASAP! This role would suit someone who has experience in high level customer service and who has a great attitude to learn and develop their skills. Main Duties

  • Establish and maintain a high level of Customer Service by performing various catering duties for SCR Fellows, Students, College Staff, visitors, Conference and Dinner guests as well as at College events.
  • Supervise, hire, train and develop staff through effective communication and continued coaching and performance management to ensure the team functions effectively, are motivated and involved in the business.
  • Provide practical support and direction to workers to ensure that the needs and demands of customers are met at all times.
  • Set up furniture and maintain equipment for seminar, teaching, conference or other purposes ensuring it is safely returned in good working order after use.
  • Be fully aware of all facilities and events, those that are on-going or taking place within the College.
  • Deliver the service to the customer effectively ensuring the college health and safety policy and procedures requirements are always met and continuously improved as to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Deputise where required when the Bar Manager or Bar Assistant are absent.

Experience Required

  • Able to lead and work as a part of a team.
  • Ability to lead by example and offer clear direction to the team.
  • Be uncompromising in achieving high standards
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and well-presented
  • Good oral communication skills.
  • Flexibility in your duties and working hours.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Experience of working in a bar environment.
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment; experience as a Waiter/Waitress would be an advantageous.
  • A good understanding of spoken English.
  • Able to follow instructions.

The salary for this role is £22.063 per annum, overtime is also applicable to this role. You will be required to work a 40 hour week, normally over 5 days a week, and will be required to work split shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
