We would like to hear from you. Manpower are proud to once again be working alongside our long standing Power Generation client. An expanding SME with a great reputation in their market, they are now seeking Sales professionals to join their office in the Newcastle area!

The Client
An expanding SME with over 15 years experience within the Power Generation market, our client has developed a strong reputation for maintenance service contracts. With key clients in a variety of industries, including FMCG, Petrochemical and Automotive, they have a team of over 60 adaptable and skilled Engineers and Technicians at their disposal, meaning they are able to complete any project to exceptionally high standards.

The Role
Initially based within their office in the Newcastle area (although you can work from home as and when required) you will be responsible for maintaining and obtaining service contracts for substations & power supplies within the North East Territory. Working within a small but efficient and driven team, you will also be expected to communicate with colleagues of varying seniority (from Technicians and Fitters up to Director level) a normal day would look like:

  • Researching and identifying locations within your territory where there could be new business opportunities
  • Going out into the area and canvassing local business and enquiring about their Maintenance and Engineering needs
  • Reviewing current and previous client data to generate leads for yourself
  • Where necessary sharing opportunities with colleagues for installation projects covering electrical substations and power supplies
  • Maintaining relationships with existing clients and ensuring their needs are met
  • Regular contact with your Line Manager and Key Stakeholders to ensure that you are hitting your KPI's and that you have all support and resources needed to perform your role

You
Due to the nature of the industry, along with the rate at which our client are continuing to expand, you will be expected to possess a reasonable level of experience to be considered for this role. This will look something like:

  • Several year's experience of working within a Face to Face Sales environment
  • Work experience, a strong understanding or an appreciation of the Power Generation Industry or a similar industry (such as Utilities, Renewable Energy or Rail)
  • The people skills and adaptable personality to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients at all levels (from Technician up to Director level)
  • A positive attitude and work ethic towards continued learning and development: You may not have come from the Industry, but you may be the right Sales person for our client. As long as you are happy to learn about their Industry, Products and Services, they will provide you with all the resources to succeed!
