An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue chip FMCG company, is currently seeking a Digital Finance Manager (Talent & Skills) based in Blackfriars, London. This is a full-time, temporary role for a period of 6 months, Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week, to start ASAP. The role is paying between £53,600 and £67,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Digital Finance Manager, Talent and Change Management leads this pillar of our Digital Finance vision. Focussed on developing, retaining and attracting the next generation of finance leaders, this work stream needs to leverage the 'asset' of our reputation for outstanding commercial skills and financial expertise into a competitive advantage by augmenting and amplifying existing commercial and financial excellence with leading analytical capabilities and automation. This includes the use of flexible resources, talent platforms etc. to drive greater agility and bring relevant Finance expertise to where the business needs it.
The role also embraces embedding the new modern ways of networking amongst finance professionals that creates the right atmosphere for the "organisation of the future" and helps in the creating one "virtual world"
The role is also responsible for the overall change management required for the Digital Finance programme to be a success, supporting individuals, the Finance team and the business through the changes and mitigating risks associated with a transformation of this scale.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In partnership with HR, Digital Team, the Finance Academy and the Finance Learning Steering Committee:
- Define, roll-out and maintain a "Digital Skills" profile for Finance and its application to different roles with in the organisation. Integrate into Individual Development Planning and the Career Handbook.
- Lead the work on development of a relevant learning and development programme (including relevant materials) to bring the right Digital skills to the Finance team, including Digital Finance Academy (for Finance professionals) and Digital Finance modules for non-Finance colleagues. Constantly bring new training materials in line with the fast-changing reality.
- Co-lead with HR the work for developing right skills and leadership credentials to succeed in the Digital World
- Develop and activate a new approach to agility, enabling the organisation to access resources flexibly via digital talent platforms.
Digital Finance networking
Lead the Digital Finance Community (similar to the C4G "Brand Communities") to bring together Finance professionals around the world with a passion for Digital. This community should provide the platform for collaboration, exchange of best practices, enhancing learning and creating an experimental environment.
Bring this community to life through great collaboration technology and engagement. Support and encourage the facilitators of this community to bring the new ideas and technologies to keep this community on the leading edge of the digital world development.
Lead the Finance Digifund, our centrally-managed innovation fund to stimulate internal experimentation and entrepreneurship in the area of Digital Finance. Drive value and learning from the portfolio of projects.
Change Management
Lead Digital Finance Communication by popularising the Digital Finance and keeping awareness and acceptance at a high level. Co-ordinate communication between clusters, divisions, sub-functions, BFS and IT.
Drive open-mindedness and bias-for-action in our approach to the Digital Finance transformation within the organization and build an entrepreneurial and experimental atmosphere encouraging our people to identify new suggestions for usage of the digital technology in Finance.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
A passion for organisation development, learning and change management and eager to drive change across the Finance organisation on a global scale. The candidate must be a strong team player, who can lead "Unlocking Value through People" with people in mind and at the same time with a clear vision on the organisational efficiency and right set of Finance skills/credentials required in the connected world. He /she should be self-driven and be able to motivate and lead through the transformation the full diverse Finance team. He/she should have the resilience to work in a fast-changing and sometimes undefined or ambiguous environment, with number of the very senior stakeholders within the Company.
Skills/Experience required:
- Qualified Accountant - ideally to ACCA level of qualification
- Excellent communication & influencing skills
- Ability to learn/adopt new communication and networking technologies
- Great networking skills, ability to speak "stakeholders' languages" and use individual approach
- Structural approach to the building efficiencies in the processes and communication
- Excellent motivation, passion for the developing of people and organisation and courage to take on new challenges
