An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly motivated and innovative team based in Leeds for a period of three months, with a possibility to extend to 6 months, playing an active role in delivering the new Clinical Research Network (CRN) Finance Tool. A major part of this role will be to liaise with the software developer of the CRN Finance Tool and will include substantive testing in line with the Project timescales.
As a Systems Finance Manager, your main duties will include:
- Be the Project Test Lead for the development of the CRN Finance Tool in order to provide better financial information and achieve reporting that will drive performance.
- Work alongside the Funding & Contracts Manager, CRN Finance Business Partner and other key internal stakeholders to ensure the finance deliverables on the Finance Tool Project are met in line with project milestones.
- Work with the CRN Finance team, Business Analyst and Software company to develop use cases and test data, and lead a team of testers throughout the development sprints.
These duties provide a framework for the role and should not be regarded as a definitive list. Other reasonable duties may be required consistent with the grade of the post.
As a Systems Finance Manager you will have:
- Qualified CCAB accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA).
- Project management experience and proven ability in managing financial system projects, particularly in leading the test programme.
- Experience and confidence in working on key projects within tight deadlines.
- An ability to liaise with and support the communication between the Finance team and external software developer.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to exercise initiative in an innovative, versatile and strategic way.
- Evidence of an ability to lead, and work effectively as part of, a team, along with self-motivation and the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
