Customer Service Administrator (Distribution) Temp to Perm

Our client is looking to recruit a Temp to Perm Customer Service Administrator to work within their busy Distribution Department based at Lee Mill, near Ivybridge. This is an excellent opportunity to work for the UK's leading supplier of LPG.

Applicants will be responsible for providing high levels of customer service to customers at all times. The duties will include;

• Providing speedy and accurate information to customer by telephone and in writing in line with company procedures
• Advising customers on gas deliveries and schedules
• Answering general account queries and resolving any customer complaints
• Updating the internal customer data base system to ensure accurate records are kept on file
• General administration tasks

The ideal candidate for the role will have a background in office based customer service, ideally with some previous logistics/transport experience. Excellent organisational skills are also essential, to ensure you prioritise your workload to meet the requirements of the business. You will be a confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner, including being able to deal effectively with customer complaints. You will also be a team player who can work unsupervised when required.

Candidates will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent in Maths and English, ideally grade C or above. You must also have excellent IT skills and have experience of working with Microsoft Office packages, in particular, Word & Excel. NVQ level 2 in customer service would be advantageous. Full training on all systems will be provided via e-learning and shadowing experienced staff.

The hours will be up to 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday on a shift system between the hours of 8am and 6pm. You will also be required to work Saturdays and bank holidays on a rota basis.

Due to the location of the business (Lee Mill) and the lack of public transport in the area, it would be advisable to check public transport timetables, if you do not have your own transport, before applying for this position.
