Job Details

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading Food Organisation. Upfield is currently seeking a Senior Brand Manager at Leatherhead (moving to Wimbledon later in the year) . This is a full-time, temporary role for a period of 6 months, Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week, to start ASAP. The role is paying between £53,600 and £67,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

Upfield is a global leader in plant-based nutrition with a great history and a portfolio of iconic brands that people have used and trusted for generations. This includes Flora, Rama, Becel, Blue Band, Country Crock, I Can't Believe it's not Butter and Flora Pro.Activ.

Upfield is seeking a passionate Senior Brand Manager to work on a truly iconic brand; Flora.

Main Responsibilities -

  • Execution of Brand Marketing Plans for the UK & Ireland to deliver sustainable business growth across both markets.
  • Development and execution of Brand activities, on time, in full.
  • Drive definition and execution of a strong Digital strategy
  • Constantly review brand performance at a market, segment and customer cell level for ongoing improvement.
  • Input and ownership of long-term forecast assumptions for the UK&I; monitoring and analysing market and competitor performance and activities to inform l-term forecasting decisions through concrete assumptions.
  • Manage input into and the relationship with Shopper & Customer Marketing for the brand / portfolio
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, and work closely with Customer teams, to ensure alignment and consistency in go-to-market strategy
  • Work closely with CD to ensure engagement and successful execution of Brand Plans, including competitive pricing and promotional strategies across channels
  • Develop and present compelling trade stories to key Customers to help secure listings and support for key initiatives
  • Develop robust Business Cases and manage projects through key gate keeping meetings
  • Lead and/or input into Brand Development projects to develop and land strong renovation and innovation initiatives to deliver sustainable, profitable growth.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Understanding consumers & shoppers to discover insights and turn them into (creative) ideas and growth opportunities
  • Developing and executing detailed brand activity and digital marketing plans
  • Commercial acumen & financial savviness: ability to analyse the P&L and market performance data to uncover insights and opportunities to optimise plans and max the mix
  • Predicting market change & competitor scenarios
  • Understanding of retail channels & Customers and experience working with Customer
  • Developing competitive category strategy and executing pricing and trade promotion strategy
  • Project Management and ability to work effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams

Key Experience

  • 5+ years marketing experience, preferably in FMCG industry and a local market
  • Strong track record in digital marketing
  • Demonstrated high performance in project management with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Evidence of budgetary control and P&L management

  • Degree level
