An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Leading Global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum are currently looking for a Digital Communications Executive based at their prestigious facility in Kingston. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 3 months, working a 36.25-hour week. The successful candidate will be required to travel to Blackfriars on a Wednesday each week, Tuesday and Thursday based in Kingston and to work from home Monday and Friday. This role is paying between £32,000 and £35,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

Background
The Global Communications function supports the business's ambition of doubling the size of the company while reducing the environmental imprint, through the implementation of a single, global communications strategy and annual plan. The function has a key role to play in activating our clients Brand and the Sustainable Living Plan by engaging stakeholders including employees, journalists and key opinion formers in the Sustainability field.

The Role

  • work with the Internal Digital Engagement Manager (Channels) to develop content and implement functionality on our internal global channels, and
  • work with the Essentials manager to support on the creation and delivery of the weekly Essentials email.
  • Intranet Homepage - the single landing page for all employees, providing personalised news, information and services
  • The News Centre - our global online employee news service, including the Friday News Centre review - our online information and reference site about the business

Key accountabilities

  • Coordinate with the Global Content Team on content scheduling, advising on digital best practice and layout
  • Produce reports to demonstrate how content is performing.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the Inside Home Page - including booking and updating the promo banners and 'My Events' - and monitoring performance and analytics on the page.
  • Advise stakeholders on the best use of features on the home page and provide advice on alternatives where appropriate.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the News Centre including publishing content, sourcing/editing images, monitoring comments and responding to ad-hoc enquiries.
  • Ensuring any technical issues are fixed in a timely manner and overseeing minor technical enhancements.
  • Create, send and measure the success of the Friday News Centre review email.

About our client

  • Manage the content and functionality of the site and PowerPoint presentation, ensuring content is reviewed and refreshed regularly and is in line with business announcements and deliver against the channel strategy.
  • Manage the Dictionary monitoring additions and changes and implementing new functionality when required.

Paul's blog

  • Manage the process of publishing posts on Paul Polman's blog ensuring the content is appropriate for a global audience.
  • Manage the dissemination of global emails as required ensuring that content is appropriate for a global audience and providing advice on alternative communications channels where appropriate.
  • Support the Essentials manager on the creation of the weekly global email, including targeting content, contributing to the planning process, uploading content where necessary and ensuring the email is scheduled and distributed.

All channels

  • Monitor performance and analytics of the global channels
  • Manage digital projects to deliver new and enhanced functionality on the channels as required in support of the Internal Digital Engagement Manager (for channels) and the Essentials manager.
  • Document and keep operational channel processes and user guides up to date.
  • Monitor generic email accounts such as Global Communications, News Centre and CEO, ensuring that all enquiries are addressed and responded to by the correct team member in a timely manner.

Other projects

  • Work with the Internal Digital Engagement Executive (Campaigns) to deliver quarterly results into the business.
  • Support the team on adhoc projects where there is a need.
  • Provide holiday cover for the team administrator for diary management, budgets and expenses.
