Marine Engineering Electrical Trainer - Salary - £29,240 - £31,367

Hours:
Mon-Thurs: 8:30am - 4:15pm
Friday: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Responsibility of role:

*To deliver a high quality training delivery in the Marine Electrical arena in line with Company standards and contractual requirements in the EMTC SOR.
*To instruct theoretical and practical technical training to the equipment and systems of RN warships and other Navies vessels in accordance with the Training Plan and Sultan TSOP procedures. Subjects include Electrical/Electronic principles, Power & Distribution, High Voltage & Low Voltage systems, Electrical Test Equipment, Soldering and Crimping techniques
*To assist in maintaining and updating training documentation.
*To assess student course work and provide feedback on performance
*To be responsible for the duty of care of trainees during the delivery of training.
*To carry out the level 0 and level 1 training equipment maintenance for which suitable qualifications and experience are held.
*Ensure Company security, health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times. direction

Qualifications & Requirements:

*Consolidated experience (within last 5 years), or directly employed in Marine electrical and electronic engineering principles in the maritime environment. - Essential
*Previous experience in the application of electrical soldering and crimping techniques on low voltage systems. - Essential
*Previous knowledge in the application of Marine electrical and electronic theoretical and practical instruction with an awareness of Electrical/Electronic Principles, Power & Distribution, High Voltage / Low Voltage, Electrical Test Equipment, Electrical Maintenance. - Desirable
*Previous instructional experience in a military electrical and electronic environment (ideally within last 5 years) - Desirable
*Experience in the development of electrical and electronic engineering based training courses - Desirable
*Experience (within last 3 years) of CBT/CAI principles, concepts and use - Desirable
*Qualified academically or vocationally to a minimum of ONC in relevant subject matter - Desirable
*Level 4 Teaching Qualification PTTLS(4), CertEd, PCGE or equivalent - Desirable
*ECDL or equivalent proficiency in using IT (hardware/software) within the workplace - Desirable
