My client is one of the largest and most diverse energy companies in the UK. Having new opportunities, they are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor in Leeds.

Main Duties

  • Main responsibilities for this role will include mitigating risks, maintaining dialogue with relevant operational management to have a continual understanding as to contract administration status
  • Providing commercial support for specific projects
  • Ensuring that the internal reports of the projects are accurate in respect of risk
  • Organising costs incurred with projects
  • Projection and create forecasts of costs to spend
  • Planning for contingencies and liabilities
  • Accurately recording sales declared and profit declared

Your Skills and Experience

  • The individual that we are keen to hire for this role will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying
  • Demonstrate previous experience in role (ideally within a construction or engineering)
  • Have a comprehensive commercial understanding of contract price build-ups
  • Experience in managing relationships with clients/customers/contractors
  • The ability to read and understand contract clauses and documents and be adept at communicating these to all levels within the business
  • Analytical and methodical way of thinking
  • Have excellent communication skills between colleagues and clients
  • A full driving licence
