Duration: 6 months

Credit Manager required on a 6 Month temporay basis for our client, a leading global paints and coatings Company and a major producer of specialty chemicals, with leading market positions and brands in countries around the world.

Working within there Performance Coatings business as a Customer Financial Services Manager you will partner the organisation and manage credit risk as well as oversee credit processes, policy and procedures for our SMU's within Europe and North America. The role has three key areas of responsibility;

Credit Risk Management

Using a variety of reporting on a regular (weekly/monthly) basis monitor and manage credit risk of assigned Region and SMU at a country and customer level. Identify risk and methods to mitigate risk communicating this effectively to internal stakeholders. Seek to improve collection performance and support repeatable improvement in reduction of overdue debt.

Credit Processes, Policy and Procedures

Provide operational support to the business to establish new standardised processes within the region. Assist in supporting and establishing the outsourced business model in Europe being the focal point for the SMU(s) working initially with the Alpha project team. Ensure clear understanding of policy, processes and procedures for both AkzoNobel and BPO Infosys. Focus on continuous improvement of processes and procedures through standardisation.

Business Partnering

Develop, produce and regularly share accurate and timely credit reporting with Sales, Finance and Customer Service. Highlight opportunities to improve by establishing regular recurring meetings with internal stakeholders to discuss metrics. Focus on continuous improvement and maintaining improved performance.

Develop and understanding of SMU business strategy goals within region and country to aid improved decision making, balancing supporting business strategy and credit risk.

Provide support to sales, finance and customer service in ongoing change management in the new outsourced business model and BPO Infosys.

Provide daily support and direction to BPO Infosys on business processes and supporting tools and systems.

Partner with Service delivery management to develop, improve and maintain service levels from BPO Infosys.

Skills:

You will have extensive experience in a credit risk management role and be able to demonstrate expertise in operational risk, risk assessment and financial statement analysis. You will have been involved in global process/policy design and worked in a matrix organisation too. Good at influencing others, you will be flexible and adaptable as well as willing to use your initiative when needed. You will have project management skills and be the sort of person who is passionate about excellence and delivers on commitments.
