The role of Multiskilled Field Engineer is to both support the installation and commissioning of our systems; to undertake planned preventative maintenance and to provide reactive technical support to customer sites producing food for leading food retailers. sub-contract site installation work that is closely monitored and harness resources to commission and train customer operators and maintenance teams. You will be a leading representative on site for the duration, typically two weeks, to manage resources, ensure compliance with customer and legally mandated standards, to be accountable for the quality of the work done on site and for completion to an agreed schedule. You will have a critical role building trusted relationships with our customers staff and enabling optimal use of products. You will visit customer sites after system commissioning to provide scheduled maintenance and to react to break-downs.

From time-to-time, this role requires working at our customers sites, in the UK, during evenings and weekends which is paid as overtime. Our engineers are generally on a paid out-of-hours stand-by rota 1 week in 3.

Key Requirements for the role include:

  • Experience working as a field engineer, preferably serving customers in the food industry;
  • Experience working with sub-contractors;
  • Provide excellent customer service that meets, or exceeds, customer expectations;
  • To ensure that the site and everybody on site, is safe at all times;
  • Build relationships based on trust, honesty and reliability;
  • Prioritise and schedule work on site by others;
  • To ensure the highest quality of work;
  • Report accurately and frequently;
  • Undertake fault finding, problem solving, establish route cause and find solutions;
  • Assess the severity of a situation and take appropriate action;
  • Apply an appropriate level of urgency to escalations and requests for information;
  • Mitigate risks through detailed planning and applying processes consistently
  • Ability to complete installation work, to specification with minimal snagging
  • Enable continuous learning feedback;

  • Technically trained, practical engineer able to read electrical schematics and system installation drawings

  • Consistently set standards of working and encourage others
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Flexible about working hours & have an appetite for overtime
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Previous equipment installation and commissioning experience in the food industry

In return you will be offered a salary of £37,000 - £42,000 per annum dependant on experience, you will be supplied with a company van and will receive a 5% annual bonus based on targets. Please apply online or call Lianne for more information.
