MIG / TIG Welder - Plymouth - Fulltime - £9p/h

Manpower is excited to be working with our client to find a MIG / TIG Welder in Plymouth. Our client has built up a fantastic reputation which means that they do business with clients all over the world but still maintain the feel of a family business, which includes an early finish every Friday. This role is initially offered on a temporary basis but will go permanent for the right person.

About the role

As the MIG / TIG welder you will be working with mainly precision stainless steel or aluminium as part of the production team. Each part you work on will be loaded into the jig and then require a smooth long join using a MIG welding machine. Our client has developed a reputation for manufacturing parts to an exact standard as specified by the customer for both the marine, rail and technology industries. Your working hours will be 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and finishing at 3.30pm on a Friday.

About the candidate

The successful candidate for the MIG / TIG Welder role will have previous experience within this sector and will enjoy working as part of a busy production team. This role is offered with an immediate start and could go temp to perm for the right person. You should have experience of welding with stainless steel to a variety of thicknesses and experience of welding aluminium would also be an advantage but not essential. You will enjoy working as part of a team but also be able to work off your own initiative.

About the recruitment process

If you are shortlisted, you will be contacted within one week of application for a telephone interview before your CV is submitted to the client. If successful you will be invited to an interview with the client and asked to demonstrate your welding ability. While working on a temporary contract you will be employed through Manpower on behalf of our client.
