An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our global FMCG client, the powerhouse behind brands such as Persil, Ben & Surf, Comfort, Domestos and Cif, have an opening for a Microbiologist to be based at their Research & Development Facility in Port Sunlight, Wirral.

This is a full time, temporary role for a period of 6 months - Monday to Friday, paying £24,075 per annum pro rata, depending on experience.

A microbiology research technician is required to join the Preservation and Applied Microbiology team, working with testing performance and effectiveness' of preservative within household products.

The role will involve:

Sampling/Sample administration

Microbiological analysis of home and personal care products

Practical testing to evaluate preservative efficacy

Data review & knowledge gathering

Preferred qualifications/experience:

Degree in microbiology

Previous practical microbiology experience

Excellent microbiology practical skills

Excellent team working and interpersonal skills

Good communication skills both written and verbal

Good time management

Good organisation skills with a high level of accuracy

Good IT knowledge
