Steel Sales Engineer

A well-established Gloucestershire based Engineering company specialising in advanced manufacturing of high performance exotic metals for the oil and gas, metal extrusion, pharmaceutical and green energy industries is looking to employ and develop an experienced Steel Sales Engineer, to meet a market of high quality products to fast delivery times while maintaining the highest standards. They are operating a 24/7 production facility to provide for any critical or emergency situation, so require a candidate that is flexible and able to work efficiently and independently.

The Role:
- You will be an experienced mechanical engineer ideally with a proven background in the Oil and gas, Marine, Energy or Aerospace markets.
- Has strong knowledge in the principles Mechanical Design (manual and cnc).
- Experience in checking engineering drawings and technical information.
- Understands Materials (Austenitics, super austenitic, duplex, super duplex, nickel).
- In depth knowledge of buying Super duplex (F53, F55) and Nickel alloys.
- Excellent understanding of Chemical analysis of Metals.
- Strong written communication and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Good telephone communication skills.
- Strong prioritisation skills.

Benefits:
- GL51 based.
- January 2019 start.
- £25,000-£31,000 based on experience.
- Monday - Friday - 37.5 Hours P/W (08:00-15:30).
- Overtime available.
- Pension: Automatic Enrolment after 3 full months worked. Company 5% of gross weekly wage. Employee starting rate 3% gross weekly wage.
- 28 Days holiday including bank holidays.
- Permanent position.
