HGV Driver

FULL CLASS 1 TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED FOR FREE - 4 ON 3 OFF DAY SHIFTS - PERMANENT POSITION.

As a driver you will be delivering animal feed directly to farms, driving a vairety of vehicles and utilising various delivery methods to distribute the feed into the correct bins. You will make regular deliveries to customer farms and build strong, ongoing relationships with the customers. As a valued employee you will recieve comprehensive initial and ongoing training.

The Role:

• HGV Driving: All legal requirements to be met fully. Consideration for other road users and members of the public. Clear, accurate completion of tachograph records, manual entries and defect reports. Vehicles to be operated within relevant speed and weight limits at all times.
• Feed Delivery: Delivering a professional service whilst on customers farms. Care to be taken at all times to achieve correct bins for feed and UFAS compliance. Safety of farm employees, children and stock are paramount.
• Paperwork: All delivery records, cleaning records, defect reports etc., to be completed accurately, in full and on time.
• Health & Safety: Comply fully with company & customer health and safety policies.
• Environment: Fully adhere to rules set out in the site IPPC, comply with company environment policy and assist the transport manager to improve the site EMS.

The Requirements:

• Minimum HGV Class 2 licence - (Class 1 Prefferred)
• Ownership of a digital Tachograph Card.
• Driver certificate of Professional Competency (CPC)
• Regular driving of HGV's.
• Fluent in English: Constant communication with colleagues and customers.
• Physically capable of fulfulling duties.

The Package:

• Portbury Based
• £25,600 Basic + Realistic OTE £30,000
• Full training Provided (Minimum of 3 Weeks) ongoing training, upskilling and assessments
• Shift Rotation - 4 out of 7 Days P/W
• 20 days + Public Holidays (28 Days Total)
• Flexiday + Flexitime Scheme
• Permanent Position
