Customs (Indirect Tax) Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our Global FMCG Client, are currently seeking a Customs (Indirect Tax) Project Manager for pivotal roles in the UK business, based at their prestigious facility either in Port Sunlight on the Wirral or in Leatherhead, Surrey. These are full time temporary role for a period of 12 months, working a 37.5 hour week. This role is paying between £297.50 - 380 per day North Location / £350 -400 per day South Location.

Overview of the role:

Working with the cross functional teams to improve Customs Processes

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all elements of project delivery is on track

Hold internal and external teams accountable to deliver

Understand big picture of Customs and have ability to resolve detail technical issues

Proactive risk management

Design end to end new process solution

Implement project changes with operational teams and hand over to business as normal

Set up new operational processes from scratch

Skills/ Experience Required:

• Lead to ensure all elements of project delivery is on track
• Hold internal and external teams accountable to deliver
• Influence Senior business stakeholders to unlock resources
• Expertise in Customs / Understand big picture of Customs and have ability to resolve detail technical issues
• Strategic Prioritisation Multiple Streams of work
• Proactive risk management
• Design end to end new process solution
• Implement project changes with operational teams and hand over to business as normal
• Set up new operational processes from scratch
• Strong line manager
