Maintenance Engineer
A Maintenance Engineer vacancy within a FMCG plant based in Bristol has become available. The role includes all aspects of repair and maintenance of productions lines both electrical and mechanical. The person selected will be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often working to tight deadlines while ensuring that the plant is fully operational.
The Responsibilities:
In the event of breakdowns, ensure that the plant is operational.To respond to faults on the control systems and other plant faults by carrying out necessary repairs.Completion of plant inspection schedules and planned maintenance.Ensure that all engineering work is carried out in line with Health , Safety and Environmental legislation that the work area is left in a clean and tidy state after completion of the work.Ensure that all current Health and Safety issues and safe working practices are adhered to.Generate order lists to replenish engineering spares as necessary.Ensure that site services are operating and that building fabric is adequately maintained.Implement plans and perform the required activities to ensure compliance with PPC permits and Environmental/ Energy management systems.
The Requirements:
HNC/HND qualification in electrical / mechanical engineering or experiencePrevious Experience within a production / fast moving goods operationsPrevious electrical and mechanical assembly experience in a machine manufacturing environmentAble to read electrical and mechanical engineering drawings and processes sheetsUnderstanding of 5S, lean manufacturing and preventative maintenance methods
Shift Pattern:
Week 1: Monday to Friday (06:00-14:00)Week 2: Monday to Friday (16:00-24:00) Sunday (06:00-18:00)Week 3: Monday to Friday (08:00-16:00) Saturday (06:00-18:00) Sunday (18:00-06:00)Week 4: OFFView to progress to a 4 on 4 off shift rota
