Workshop Engineer

A Workshop Engineer vacancy has become available within largest generator specialist in the South West, based in Bristol. We have an excellent opportunity for someone to join us, supporting the Workshop Foreman and the Rental team in the preparation, testing and repair of generator sets. This is mainly a depot based role; however, you may have to travel to customer sites occasionally.

The Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and service generators for all departments, on and off site as and when required.
  • Carry out repairs for customers on generators which have broken down, on and off site as and when required.
  • Provide general assistance in the yard, including loading and offloading equipment and driving a fork lift truck as required.
  • Deliver and collect generators and ancillary equipment using appropriate company vehicles where required, including refuelling.
  • Carry out duties on our company on call rota system.
  • Comply with all aspects of the company's ISO 9001 quality management standards, proactively contributing to the company's continuous improvement programme.

    • The Requirements:

  • City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience of working with generators required
  • Experience with maintenance of heavy plant machinery and engines
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing and process sheets
  • Forklift truck experience (preferred)

  • Bristol Based - BS30
  • £23,000 - £25,000
  • Monday - Friday, 40 Hours Per Week
  • 31 Days Holiday (23 Days Holiday + Public Holidays)
