Job Summary

A position for an SEO copywriter has opened up with our Oldham based Clinet (OL6) The role involves writing engaging, optimised copy for the company website and subdomains.

The ideal candidate will have a knack for writing and a basic understanding of SEO and content-marketing strategies.

The successful candidate would be based in the Marketing department based in Oldham, Greater Manchester.

Reporting to the Content Manager and SEO Manager the SEO Copywriter would be responsible for researching, producing and updating content on the company website(s). They would also be responsible for assisting with the production of other pieces of content, such as sales materials, email campaigns and print materials.

Typical daily duties include:

  • Writing relevant, optimised copy for new website pages to be featured on the IAS website or US/Canada/etc subdomains
  • Writing immigration-related content for the on-site news blog
  • Reviewing and updating the current content on the company sites to improve our positions in SERPs
  • Working alongside the off-site team to create content for PR campaigns when necessary
  • Writing copy to be used in physical marketing materials, such as leaflets, PDFs and info packs


Full-time & permanent role

Flexible working-hours, (8am-4pm/9am-5pm/10am-6pm etc)

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

This role would be best suited to a highly-competent writer with an understanding of on-page optimisation principles.

The ideal candidate would:

  • Be able to write informed, high-quality copy which grabs and holds the attention of readers
  • Have an understanding of basic on-page SEO principles, such as keyword optimization, user-friendliness and readability
  • Have an excellent grasp of the English language including an extensive vocabulary, excellent knowledge of grammar and a clear, compelling writing style
