An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Leading Global FMCG company with Brands such as Comfort, Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum are currently looking for a Brand Manager (HHC) based at their prestigious facility in Leatherhead. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 6 months to start ASAP, working a 36.25-hour week. This role is paying up to between £44,000 - £55,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

JOB PURPOSE

With 8 years of consecutive growth, Comfort is the No1 brand in Fabric Conditioners (RSV circa £180m). and our products are purchased by 1 in very 2 households in the UK!

2019 celebrates Comfort 50th anniversary and with it comes an exciting year fuelled by innovations, a total brand re-launch where it will take the brand into a Personal Care arena and a series of other marketing/ activities.

We are looking for an experienced Brand Manager to join our small but passionate team to help us launch and activate so many of our marketing activities that will secure another winning year as well as manage and build plans for a successful 12 quarter plan.

You will be autonomously running NPD, NRM and cost savings projects, managing agencies and cross functional teams, managing P&L as well as assisting the Marketing Manager in key strategic projects.

KEY DELIVERABLES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Deliver the total Comfort share, turnover and PBO growth targets.
  • Development and implementation of brand marketing plan, built on strong consumer and customer rationale.
  • Innovations and renovations: lead internal project team meetings
  • Recommend all 6P's aspects of the innovation / renovation mix
  • Create Business cases
  • Work with Category and other internal teams in order to create a concise and exciting trade Trade Story
  • Develop cost effective activity plans with a big focus on digital activities
  • Work with agencies across all relevant media.
  • Lead cross functional teams to ensure successful execution of launch plans and post-launch evaluation
  • Manage the brand/project budget to ensure spend is in line agreements.
  • Work with the shopper marketing team to ensure that customer specific themes and strategies are aligned with and amplify national plans.
  • Champion the consumer needs and brand passion within the overall business
  • Champion competitive behaviour and mind-set throughout the business.
  • Lead high quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuously understand ongoing business performance using key diagnostics of share and growth trends, key initiatives, competitive activity and return on marketing investment.
  • Share tracking and understanding of performance as well as recommendations for action
  • SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong business acumen is essential
  • A strong bias for action, positively leading change.
  • Generate, craft and act on great insights using appropriate balance of data and instinct. .
  • Fanatical about running your brand as if it's your own business
  • An optimistic and resilient team player.
  • A good team leader capable of leading cross functional project teams
  • Highly articulate and able to influence a wide range of stakeholders - up/down and across.
  • RELEVENT EXPERIENCE:

    • 3-4 years classic brand management experience in an FMCG environment.
    • Business management and UK Brand Building experience
    • They will have experience in working with a broad range of interfaces (European experience is not a pre-requisite)
    • Strong understanding of UK retail landscape.
    • FMCG experience is a must.
