Our client designs, manufactures and supplies a diversified range of aircraft ground support equipment and tooling lines for use within the commercial and defence aviation industries.

They are currently seeking a Production Assembler to join our fast growing aviation company initially to meet order demand, but potentially to be taken on full time.

You will be guided and supported by the GSE Manager and be required to work alongside the production team and carry out the day to day assembly, product build and testing of the company's range of aircraft ground support equipment and tooling.

Hands-on experience with basic workshop tools is required as well as being able to assemble mechanical products. You must be able to weld competently, and the ability to drive a fork lift (counterbalance) is desirable but not essential.

Main Responsibilities: -

  • Assembly and build of service carts, trailers and associated ground equipment
  • Fitment and testing of nitrogen & oxygen gas charging systems
  • Fitment and testing of nitrogen & oxygen hose assemblies
  • Support & work alongside the production team

The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, have a positive attitude and be well organised. Good communication skills are essential along with a mechanical, engineering or workshop background.

  • 40 hours/week - some flexibility to work longer to meet order deadlines is necessary
  • Company Pension Scheme
  • Holiday Entitlement & Bank Holidays
  • IMMEDIATE START

Due to the rural location of the workshop, you must have a driving license and access to a car. The pay rate is £12.50/hour. If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please ring 0118 955 3284 and ask for Naomi.
