Senior Software Developer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue chip IT company, is currently seeking a Senior Software Developer based on their site in Bracknell. This is a full-time, permanent role, to start ASAP working 09.00-17.30pm Monday to Friday. The role is paying up to £41,000 for the right candidate and experience per annum, pro rata.

The successful candidate will work in a development team, developing and implementing bespoke business applications to enhance business operations and efficiencies. Using the latest technologies and development techniques the developer will work in the Bracknell Office in the UK alongside our Database Administrator and working remotely with the rest of the development team based in Italy and Spain.

This role is ideal for an experienced developer with exposure to developing applications for business use. It is an excellent opportunity working in a quality driven organisation, delivering high end bespoke software applications.

Responsibilities:

• Applies advanced experience, business acumen and technical knowledge to solve business issues of high complexity, and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
• Contributes significantly to the development of new ideas and methods in line with business goals.
• Responsible for complex problem resolution or projects which require thorough analysis of data and in depth evaluation of multiple factors.
• Possesses the required competencies to take decisions independently within broadly defined frameworks and policies in order to achieve final results.
• Acts as a leader or point of reference to project teams.
• May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
• Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
• Working with senior management to design and implement bespoke IT solutions, which will require you to be able to translate business requirements in to technical and functional requirements.
• Attending stakeholder meetings.
• Ensuring that the development team are adhering to our coding standards. You will be focused on Data Protection and ensure that Security is at the forefront of your development lifecycle

Skills and Experience:

• Good understanding of IT infrastructure
• Passion for Software Development & New Technologies
• Good communication skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels and across different teams within the organisation both written and verbally in English
• Able to work cooperatively in a team as well as on their own and work to deadlines
• Flexible & Committed
• Awareness of the sensitivities of working with highly confidential information whether it be verbal or written (confidentiality agreements may need to be signed for some projects)
• Taking customer requirements and translating them in to Technical and Functional detail
