Our client who design and build bespoke equipment for the Subsea/Offshore industries are looking to hire apprentice trained Mechanical Assembly Technicians/Fitters to join their team on a prestigious project which is starting in January.

As a Mechanical Assembly Technician you will assemble, pre-commission and test mechanical equipment for specific projects as identified By the Site Construction Supervisor / Mechanical Supervisor(s).

To be considered for this role you will have the following skills and attributes

Skills & Experience

  • Apprentice Trained Mechanical Fitter
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience of heavy engineering environment preferred
  • Certified to operate workshop plant and machinery (IPAF, Forklift, Working at Heights and Overhead Crane would be advantageous but not a full requirement)
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, as required by the role
  • A flexible approach in order to work shifts and overtime as required to meet project demands

This role will involve working shifts and overtime and may involve working oversea so a flexible attitude is essential

A trade test and interview will be required for this position where your skills, experience, flexibility and professional approach will need to be demonstrated.
