Manpower is currently recruiting for a Customer Service Adviser on behalf of our client, who is an instantly recognisable financial organisation working in Manchester City Centre.

We are looking for customer service advisers to join our Account Servicing team, which is responsible for handling all contact from customers, primarily by telephone but also by mail, email, fax or via the company website. Potential to take arrears calls or be cross-skilled in the future. Our people and their commitment to customer service make the difference.

As a customer service adviser, your role will involve:

  • Providing an excellent service to our customer base of 330,000 account holders who contact us through our inbound phone number, post, email, fax or via the company website whilst remaining fully compliant with Data Protection legislation
  • Issuing standard letters and drafting specific letters if required
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date customer account records
  • Processing customer payments made by debit/credit card
  • Handling inbound calls, ensuring that key performance metrics on service levels including call answering time, call volume, first call resolution, and quality metrics are consistently achieved

The ideal candidate will have a great telephone manner, be comfortable and capable of dealing with various customers and able to to use 1st class customer service skills to resolve customer queries in a timely and professional manner. You'll also be comfortable using computers and a variety of software packages and able to work on a rotational basis between the hours of 09:30am and 5:15pm Monday to Friday for a total of 17.25 hours a week. Please bare in mind that due to the nature of the training you may be required to complete your first 3-4 weeks completing 37.5 hours a week, so ensure that this is acceptable before applying.
