Job Details

Our client, a well-established energy company based in Barnwood Gloucester, is looking for a Risk and Assurance Analyst to join their team. This is a very exciting opportunity to support the risk and assurance manager in ensuring that robust risk management and compliance processes are embedded throughout enterprise IT (EIT) function and adhered to. The role requires performing assurance activities on different aspects of EIT. The role is for an initial 6 month period working 37 hours per week with a view to extend for the right candidate.

Principal Accountabilities


  • Ensure risks are identified, assessed and managed effectively
  • Support the development and maintenance of robust processes throughout IT to meet legal and regulatory requirements
  • Perform assurance reviews, document and report findings accurately to key stakeholders
  • Support audits and any other assessments by coordinating activities and ensuring actions are closed
  • Support compliance assessments against industry standards (PCI DSS)

  • Experience Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience

    • Strong knowledge of services provided by 3rd party providers
    • Strong knowledge of risk management, ISO 27001 & PCI DSS
    • Experience in audits, assurance and compliance reviews
    • Report writing skills
    • Information security/audit qualifications
    • A team player. Ability to work with minimum supervision
    • Eye for detail
    • Proactive and have initiative
    • Must be prepared to be vetted to base level with a view to SC
