Business Intelligence Developer needed in Peterborough area ASAP to work for with a fleet of 185,000 units throughout Europe, my client remains the leading supplier of modular space. Around the world, their group is the leading global business services provider focused on modular space, secure portable storage solutions, and remote workforce accommodation management.

Position: Business Intelligence Developer

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Peterborough

My Client has three main functions of Service Desk, Applications Support and BI/ Reporting/Development.

The role sits within the BI/Reporting/Development function, and is responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining the company's Management Information capability through a combination of projects and "business as usual" requests.

Reports directly to the Head of IT

Main responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the role include:

  • Analysing requirements, gathering and translation into technical solutions
  • Data access, report and analysis design, development, testing and support
  • Development and maintenance of technical and data security documentation
  • Troubleshooting of data, report or analytic solutions of user or business issues
  • Provide direct user support in using self-service, reporting or analytics solutions
  • Understand operational and sales data and surface relevant KPIs to the business.
  • Adhere to industry best practice and understand any impact of system changes.

Adhoc Requests

Respond to day to day requests from users to generate reports in the required format based on user's requirements.

Infrastructure

Assist in, or own any task to develop new test environments or procedures to add to the overall robustness of projects development, test and deployment.

Reworks

Audit legacy processes and migrate to new platforms where appropriate by first assessing whether the reports are still useful or candidates for decommission.

Automation

Automate current manual reports creation and subscription by identifying the data required and creating any new objects or processes required.

Build new solutions

Analyse, design and develop new automated data extract, transformation and cleansing routines. Build data presentation layers on top of new data structures that efficiently expose key data to relevant stakeholders.
