Full Time Position based in Joseph Priestly Building- City Centre BCU
Key requirements:
* Educated to A level, International Baccalaureate or equivalent standard
* Experience in a similar technical support role, especially with providing support for mobile devices
* Knowledge of Apple and Android operating systems
* Professional qualification such as ITIL ® Foundation in IT Service Management
* Good communication skills for effective dialogue with the customers and project team
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
* Provide primary support for Mobile Device Management (Intune) project for Apple and Android devices
* Support users requiring a new BCU phone, ensuring that all devices are appropriately set up and enrolled into University's chosen Mobile Device Management solution, Intune
* Responsible for technical troubleshooting and data gathering for issues impacting end users.
* Ensure consistent processes, procedures and technologies are utilized
* Understand and follow direction provided by the project team and the wider IT team
* Document results in accordance with agreed procedures
* Contribute as required, to investigations of problems and faults concerning the installation of hardware and/or software and confirms the correct working of installations.
* Receive and handle requests for support following agreed procedures.
* Maintain records and advise relevant persons of actions taken. Report and escalate unforeseen or exceptional events.
* Document all work to comply with the standards, including reporting details of all hardware/software items that have been installed and removed so that configuration management records can be updated.
