Manpower UK are recruiting on behalf of our client who are a leading Property Company in the Edinburgh area.

They are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their expanding team - someone who has the ability to manage the client accounting function, interreact with Clients and Customers and to provide support to other departments. Other than experience in a similar/related role.

Working within the Accounts function and alongside the other departments, this is a broad and challenging role which will suit an organized and customer service driven individual.

Accounts Assistant Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the Client Accounting function
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve delivery of service with an emphasis on the client journey
  • Review, develop and implement Accounting procedures and software solutions
  • Identify opportunities to add value for all clients
  • Oversee daily work of the Finance Department
  • Support colleagues with new and challenging situations
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with our SLA
  • Resolve complaints quickly and identify opportunities to improve service
  • Proactively advising clients on the management of their investment properties.
  • Ensuring deposits are lodged on time with the deposit scheme, chasing outstanding rents, ensuring landlords and contractors are paid on time, making sure that our accounting function complies with relevant regulation and maintaining good relationships with all clients and tenants.
  • Man the 24 hours out of hours emergency line (approx. 1 week in every 11)
  • Carry out property viewings occasionally

Qualifications/Experience:

  • IT proficient
  • Full driving license
  • At least 18 months' experience of working in a finance function or accountancy Practice
  • Knowledge of SME professional, Sage 50, Microsoft office would be preferable
  • Part Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience

  • Great customer experience for tenants and clients.


Salary:

Dependent on experience £20-22k

Support to complete Propertymark qualification in Property Management
